How dreamy is this styled shoot? We love the soft, romantic details and whoa are those florals gorgeous or what?! Here’s what Brenna Milligan, the stylist behind this shoot, had to say:
“As a September baby, I’ve always loved Autumn. But when it came to choosing a date for my own wedding this past year, I steered away from choosing my favourite season because the dark, jewel tones that we so often associate will fall weddings just didn’t suit me. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good moody palette, but for my own wedding, I wanted something a little softer, and opted for spring.
On a similar note, its hard to scroll through a wedding blog these days without stumbling across some celestial inspiration. I haven’t met anybody who doesn’t melt over this trend, myself included. But again, this trend revolves around very dark, night-sky inspired colours. The celestial theme has been reimagined time and time again, but rarely in an airy, romantic light.
And so began my passion project. For the Harvest Moon shoot, I wanted to turn both of these trends on their head, and introduce a softer take on an autumnal, lunar wedding.
With thanksgiving approaching, it seemed like an optimal time to feature some harvest moons, some lush pampas grass, and some rose-tinted velvet, which gave life to the vision in my head.
The design also boasts mixes of fresh and dried florals, a bohemian gown, raw crystal jewelry and a gorgeous dream catcher.”
